Levulan Arizona

Fotofacial is a procedure that can rejuvenate sun damaged skin, remove pigment, redness, and reduce rosacea. Here in Arizona, at Feel Good About You, we offer Levulan, a topical cream that enhances the FotoFacial/RF procedure. While the procedure takes about an hour longer with Levulan, the benefits of the procedure are increased. How Levulan works is that the cream is absorbed selectively by those cells in the skin that produce pigment, the blood vessels that make our skin red and cause rosacea, superficial premalignant skin lesions known as actinic keratosis, and cells infected with acne causing bacteria. This enhanced procedure can help your skin look younger and healthier, even more than the standard FotoFacial/RF procedure. Levulan is a product that can help you "feel good about you."

The only difference between the standard FotoFacial/RF procedure and one with Levulan is in the preparation. Prior to the procedure, your face and other treated areas are cleaned with acetone or it is treated with microdermabrasion. The area treated is then covered with Levulan cream for about 30 to 60 minutes. The Levulan is wiped off and the practitioner then proceeds with the FotoFacial/RF procedure.

Fotofacial with Levulan is just one of the newest procedures available at Feel Good About You.
